Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the ISoP Executive Committee and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 11th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP 2011) in Istanbul, Turkey from 26th to 28th October 2011.
The LOC, with the support of the Turkish Pharmacovigilance Society will make every effort to ensure that this meeting will be successful and also fruitful from both the scientific and social aspects. Interest in awareness about the adverse effects of medicinal products is increasing day by day all over the world, and many investigators, pharmacists and physicians actively contribute scientifically to various areas of drug safety in Turkey. The presence of the 11th ISoP meeting in Istanbul will increase these contributions and encourage multidisciplinary approaches to solving current Drug Safety challenges. Moreover, this meeting will boost efforts on Drug Safety in Turkey and also across the world. In this congress we are aiming to provide new avenues to expand the scientific and educational needs in Istanbul, the city bridging the continents.
The location of the meeting is very special; Istanbul is a city where two continents converge. Located on both sides of the Bosphorus, the narrow strait between the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea, the city straddles both the European and Asian continents.
İstanbul is considered to be the best tourist attraction in Turkey, combining history and modern life together. The city is vibrant and full of personality, history and hospitality. The congress venue itself is situated in the centre of Istanbul, so one can enjoy a great combination of work, networking and relaxation.
We look forward to welcoming you to Istanbul this October, where scientists and health professionals from all over the world will come together, learn from each other and share experiences that will be remembered. Let’s meet and share it!
